Prism Waterford

Prism Waterford is a welcoming, low-pressure social group for LGBTQIA+ people and allies in Waterford and the surrounding area.

The aim is simple — to create a friendly, inclusive space where people can connect, meet new friends, and feel comfortable being themselves. Whether you’re new to the area, looking to expand your circle, or just curious, you’re very welcome here.

There’s no expectation to attend anything straight away. This group is about building a sense of community at a pace that feels right for everyone.
Over time, we hope to organise a mix of relaxed social activities such as coffee meetups, walks, board games, movie nights, and occasional nights out — all shaped by what members are comfortable with.

If joining something new feels a bit nerve-wracking, you’re not alone — you’re welcome to take things at your own pace.

Prism Waterford is a relaxed, welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ people and allies. To keep it comfortable for everyone, please keep the following in mind:

• Be respectful
Treat everyone with kindness and respect. Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour won’t be tolerated.

• 18+ only
This group is intended for adults (18+).

• No drama
This is a positive, low-pressure space — please avoid arguments, negativity, or disruptive behaviour.

• Respect privacy
What’s shared in the group or at meetups stays there. Please don’t share others’ personal information without consent.

• Keep it inclusive
This is a space for LGBTQIA+ people and allies - everyone is welcome as long as they are respectful.

• No pressure
There’s no expectation to attend events or share anything — engage at your own pace.

Organisers reserve the right to remove members who don’t follow these guidelines.
