**A Classic Hollywood Photo Shoot Experience**

Step into the glamour of a timeless era! We are excited to invite you to participate in our exclusive Classic Hollywood Photo Shoot. Embrace the elegance, charm, and sophistication of old Hollywood as we capture iconic moments inspired by legendary movie stars.

**What to Expect**
**·** Brief description of the lighting techniques used to create that classic look
· 3 separate photo stations, each with its own style
· Refreshments and light snacks
· Learn what it was like to create these timeless portraits
· Models will be provided

3 studio sets with 3 different models, using either hot lights or flash. This will be a study of classic Paramount Portrait Lighting. Practice the use of multiple lights, main, fill, hair, background and accent. The use of soft focus, or black mist filter to give that glamour look. The group will go over techniques and then break up into 3 areas.

**Suggested equipment:**
DSLR or Mirrorless
50 mm, mid range zoom and telephoto zoom
Tripod
Lighting will be provided
*Soft focus or Black Mist filters if owned.*

**Themes/CATAGORIES:**
***Motion***
Photography of capturing movement and the passing of time in creative ways. Capturing motion as a span of time rather than a spot in time.
Depicting or expressing motion, showing the sweeping power of movement.

***Tell me a story***
Use of intentional creation, narrative composition, and emotional connection.
The goal is to connect with the viewer, allowing them to feel the emotions, understand the context, and become immersed in the narrative being presented.

***Long exposure/bright lights***
Capture the magic of light in motion!
Use of long exposure techniques to creatively showcase bright lights — whether it's bustling cityscapes, star trails, light painting, fireworks, glowing car trails, or illuminated scenes at night.

Gold members attend for free. Silver or new members $5 at the door. Doors open at 6:30pm, meeting starts at 7:00pm.

HCPG Annual Photo Contest Results Meeting

Prism shoots are usually free (*unless otherwise noted)* monthly outings where a **location**, **theme** or **topic** will be our starting point. The idea is to have all the photographers interpret the same theme but according to their own view or aesthetic. We all see things differently and it can be interesting to see which direction each photographer takes the month’s theme or topic. Photos will be shared on the Facebook group so everyone can see.

These outings are a way to help us see things from a different point of view and are led by Beth Tribe, Director of Media. This is a casual, fun, event to help you "see" and hopefully improve your photography.

**Equipment** \- bring your every day\, walk around camera or cellphone\. Try to stick with one lens but feel free to bring filters\, tripods/monopods or whatever makes you feel creative\. Think about traveling light as you will want to explore the location\. Some walking will be involved and ground may not always be level\. Explore at your own pace\.

Cromwell Valley Park is our destination. There are 2 entrances to Cromwell Valley Park - take the Willow Grove entrance. Parking in front of nature center. If you park at the Sherwood entrance you'll need to walk over (pathed path) to Willow Grove.
