6:00-6:30 **Sutra study**. This is more fun than it sounds. A teacher will read a short Sutra (Lesson from the Buddha) and discuss it.
6:30-7:00 **Check-in**. (Optional) Everyone checks in with how life is going. We have several standard questions and one wildcard question picked by a member of the group. This gets very real as this is a safe space where you can really let it all hang out.
7:00-7:30 **Meditation**. Thirty minutes of just sitting, observing whatever arises without judgment and without effort. If you're new to meditation, we will give some instruction.

If 6:00 a.m. is too early, please show up with you can. (If you show up after 7, you may have to wait a bit until someone sees you're in the waiting room.)

Everyone who has participated in this group has a story about how it has made their lives more peaceful. Showing up is the first step. Then just keep showing up. That's all you need to do. After some time, you may notice life getting just a bit easier.

All are welcome to be a part of our morning service. Experience not necessary. Those of any faith or lack thereof are welcome. All that is required is an open mind to learn how to promote wellness, happiness, love, and peace to oneself and all sentient beings.

Wake Up Together is an online meditation community that was established in 2020 by Trina and partners. Our mission is to help support individuals in maintaining a solid meditation practice through practicing in an accessible and open-minded community. We meet every day, virtually. While we are rooted in the Vipassana-Insight tradition, our approach is also inclusive to all Buddhist meditation practices such as anapanasati (mindfulness of the breath), metta (loving-kindness), body scans, tonglen, and others. The space that our meditators come to know is one that expresses itself as welcoming and embodying all views and interpretations of spirituality.
We hold the commitment to remain humble and vulnerable in our role as the guides and door openers to the individual's inner journey. We aspire to shape the experience for participants to experience serenity, clear-seeing and profound understanding of the mind, and the [no] self through the practices, the guidance, the teachings, and the reflections offered in group sharing.
To solidify this spiritual aspiration is to make a commitment to sit in community with a predetermined frequency or as often as you can.

**What we’ll do**

* Join us in a sharing community of open-hearted individuals for a weekly sitting meditation practice. We sit for 20 to 30 minutes and practice metta: wishing love, peace, wellness, and happiness to ourselves and others. We are sponsored by the Mt. Adams Buddhist Center of Trout Lake, WA supported by Rev. Kozen Sampson, a Buddhist monk in the Vietnamese Thien tradition.

**What to bring**

* Nothing, donations (dana) accepted.
