What we’re about
PSP is a social group for Liberal and Progressive singles. Meet like-minded people who share your beliefs! We're not trying to be a dating site... just provide a social avenue for liberal-minded folks and events where you wont feel awkward because its mostly couples... or a bunch of MAGA's.
This is a social group first, so we have a mix of purely social events plus some advocacy and cause-related events. We especially get active around voting cycles to help elect smart people.
PLEASE submit your ideas for making this meaningful and I'll certainly need help with suggestions and creating events and event hosts. And please message me with ideas for the types of events you would like to see.
It's hard enough to find someone compatible, so while we're looking for "the one", let's at least have some fun and meet new friends who share our dissatisfaction with the current political climate and share our passion for freedom, civil liberties and social equality.

# Riverlife’s Party at the Pier: Dreamscape presented by PeoplesAugust 22, 2025Rooftop Terrace, David L. Lawrence Convention Center
PITTSBURGH — Riverlife’s signature summer celebration returns on Friday, August 22, inviting guests to experience Pittsburgh’s riverfronts like never before. The 16th annual Party at the Pier, presented by Peoples, will transform the Rooftop Terrace of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center into a shimmering celebration of creativity, community and celebration. The 2025 theme: Dreamscape.
Guests will experience Pittsburgh’s iconic rivers in a completely reimagined, dreamlike setting. “We want to push the limits of creativity while honoring the incredible energy of our riverfronts,” said Matthew Galluzzo, Riverlife’s President and CEO. “Dreamscape gives us the freedom to invite guests into an otherworldly environment—one that mirrors Riverlife’s mission of transforming the everyday into something extraordinary.”
Party at the Pier is hosted by event chairs Helen and Stephen Casey and Annie and Gus Engel. “The riverfronts have always held a special place in our hearts—we once lived along the banks of the Allegheny in the Strip District, and we’ve seen firsthand how these spaces shape the spirit of our city,” said the Hanna, Casey, and Engel Family. “Party at the Pier celebrates the incredible transformation of Pittsburgh’s rivers into places of beauty, access, and connection. It’s an honor to support Riverlife’s vision and be part of an event that brings our community together for a summer evening on the waterfront.”## The Vision: Dream Big
Dreamscape will come alive through immersive design, surreal art installations, and ethereal lighting—encouraging guests to bring their dreamiest looks to the party. Think flowing silhouettes, pastel tones, and shimmering accents. With DJ sets, live performers, and curated cocktails, the evening will unfold like a waking dream.
The Rooftop Terrace provides a stunning backdrop for the night’s festivities, with sweeping views of Pittsburgh’s three rivers—the heart of Riverlife’s work.
Riverlife has once again partnered with Alexis Allen to bring the theme to life through bold visuals, vibrant storytelling, and unexpected moments of wonder. “This year’s Dreamscape is more than a theme—it’s a fully immersive experience,” said Alexis Allen, event producer and founder of Alexis Allen Consulting. “From interactive installations and glittering surprises to dreamy bites, bold performances, and skyline views bathed in cotton-candy hues, the night will unfold as a vibrant, otherworldly escape.”Party at the Pier supports Riverlife’s mission to create, activate, and celebrate Pittsburgh’s riverfronts connecting people through exceptional places and experiences. Proceeds fund inclusive, accessible spaces that connect people to the rivers through trails, public art, parks, and community-focused development.
“Every detail of this event reflects Riverlife’s work—from immersive spaces that encourage exploration to the community that rallies around a shared vision,” Galluzzo added. “This night is about more than celebration—it’s about impact.”
