What we’re about
Portland Psychedelic Society (PPS) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that exists to create inclusive space for psychedelic integration, education, and community building.
We hold many recurring monthly integration groups and affinity circles. We also often host one-off events like movie screenings, workshops, speaker presentation, park picnics, and more.
Most of our events are donation-based. Your donations help us to continue to offer this programming that serves our community.
Please take a look at our list of events below and consider joining us. We welcome those with no psychedelic experience, those with decades of experience, and everyone in between.
NOTE: Please DO NOT USE this group for solicitation of illegal substances. All such posts will be deleted and the offending members will be banned from the group.

See all- CANCELLED - Veterans Psychedelic DiscourseLink visible for attendees
Unfortunately, the wonderful and long-serving hosts - Brian and Alex - of PPS's Veterans Psychedelic Discourse monthly Meetup have both found themselves in life circumstances that pull them away from continuing to lead this monthly Meetup. PPS is so deeply grateful for the years of thought and service they put into serving the veterans within the greater psychedelic community.
PPS would happily continue to provide a platform for a continuing Veteran-focused psychedelic Meetup. If you are or know a veteran who would like to take on the monthly responsibility of hosting this event, please reach out to PPS leadership: https://www.portlandpsychedelic.org/contact*********************************CANCELLED****************************
The Veterans Psychedelic Discourse is OPEN TO ALL. We discussed it and wanted to include anyone interested in veterans issues and supporting vets. You do not need to be a veteran to join our events. This group alternates between discussion, presentation, and guest speaker, usually followed by a question and answer period.
Please join us to meet new friends, create a community, and find the others.Your Hosts:
Brian
Brian is a Marine Corps veteran who served from 2000 until 2005 with 1st Battalion, 7th Marines. He was diagnosed with service-connected PTSD in 2011 and spent a decade seeking treatment through medication and talk therapy without much progress. In 2020, he began to utilize meditation and mindfulness to begin processing the trauma that he had experienced. After months of fruitful progress, he had a life-changing experience after utilizing plant-based medicine in coordination with meditation.Alex
Alex is a Marine Corps veteran who practices Hemi-sync meditation with plant medicine. After being discharged from service with the diagnoses of PTSD and depression, Alex tried modern Western medicine techniques and treatments but felt they were lacking in their healing power. He was then introduced to Hemi-sync by a fellow Marine veteran, and together, they developed their own system of healing that has had a uniquely beneficial impact on both of them.***
