This November, we're giving thanks for the often-overlooked creatures that make the Puente Hills their home! Join us for a special seasonal hike, Grateful for Bugs and Birds, where we'll explore the fascinating lives of the insects and birds that help keep our local ecosystem thriving.

Leading the way is longtime Habitat Authority docent and nearby resident John Peel, who brings over 30 years of experience hiking and biking these trails. As a docent at the L.A. Zoo, John is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to wildlife behavior — especially the small but mighty creatures you might normally miss.

Don’t miss this free, family-friendly and informative hike on Saturday, November 15 at 8:00 a.m. It’s the perfect way to connect with nature and reflect on the things we’re grateful for — including bugs, birds, and beautiful trails.

Location: Arroyo Pescadero Trailhead (park in our lot off of Colima Rd. at 7531 Colima Rd, Whittier, CA 90605)

Time: 8 a.m.
