Life becomes an adventure when we realize that we are the protagonists of our own lives. If we take charge of our lives, perhaps we will stop blaming the circumstances that we face in our lives and deal with them and grow through it.
Whether it was Saint George slaying the dragon, Theseus subduing the Minotaur, or Durga defeating Mahishasura, symbolically there is always a protagonist in these mythologies – a hero who would emerge victorious against the beast. The clues, then, to develop this heroic attitude to deal with our challenges and emerge victorious in our daily lives, would also come from these mythologies. Let us explore the hidden keys to taking charge of our lives through the ancient mythologies.
This Event is hosted by New Acropolis Pune, a School of Philosophy which is run and managed completely by volunteers, who come together in the common pursuit of Philosophy as a way of Life.
To make the most of this event:
• Please be there by 5:45pm to meet other Aspiring Philosophers. Entries will be closed post 6.15 pm.
• Coffee/Tea and snacks will be available at the centre
• Volunteers from New Acropolis will be available to receive and help you. Please ask them all your questions!
• Walk-in registrations with ticket payment at the door is possible subjective to availability

About the topic - “Man is a mystery. It needs to be unravelled, and if you spend your whole life unravelling it, don't say that you've wasted time. I am studying that mystery because I want to be a human being.” – Fyodor Dostoevsky. Who am I? – is a question that makes us wonder about the mysteries that exist within us. We tend to define ourselves by our thoughts, emotions, roles, and even external expectations. Yet wise men and women from the East and West remind us that there is a deeper and truer aspect to ourselves that we are yet to encounter if only we dare to look within. We invite you to take your first step in this inner adventure of "Know thyself" !
