Python User Group: Sunset PyHike from The Peak to High West (西高山)

Join us for a chill weekend sunset hike with the Python User Group Hong Kong community — no laptops, just fresh air and great company ☀️🐍

We’ll take the short trail from The Peak to High West (西高山) — a beginner-friendly route with one of the best sunset views on Hong Kong Island.

📍 Location
The Peak, Hong Kong
Meeting Point: outside The Peak Lookout Café (near Peak Garden)

🥾 Hiking Details

• Route: The Peak → High West → return to The Peak
• Distance: ~4.7 km round-trip
• Difficulty: Beginner-friendly (flat paved path + short stair climb at the end)
• Duration: Around 2 hours including rest and sunset viewing
• Sunset time: ~5:42 PM
• After the hike (Optional): Take the bus back down to Central for dinner (restaurant TBC)

🕙 Schedule

• 4:30 PM – Meet at Peak Garden (near Peak Lookout Café)
• 4:45 PM – Start hike along Harlech Road → High West
• 5:15 PM – Arrive at High West summit, enjoy the sunset
• 6:00 PM – Descend and take the bus back to Central
• 7:00 PM – Optional group dinner (location will be confirmed later)

🧺 What to Bring

• Comfortable shoes or sneakers
• Water (1–2 L)
• Light jacket (can get breezy near sunset)
• Small torch or phone light (for the return path)

• Take Bus 15 or Minibus 1 from Central to The Peak
• Meet at outside The Peak Lookout Café
