

What we’re about
This is meditation and social group for the LGTBQI+ community. No prior experience with meditation is necessary. Basic meditation instruction will be offered as well as short readings, contemplations, and group discussion.
On occasion, guest teachers will offer talks about how the practice of meditation can help us within the context of our identities as gays, lesbians, bisexuals, trans, intersex, questioning, and gender-queer individuals, and how we can incorporate practice into our everyday lives and personal experiences.
Please join us the 2nd (second) Sunday of each month at the Shambhala Meditation Center Los Angeles in Burbank, 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Community. Group meditation. Occasional talks by senior teachers. Join us!
Suggested donation is $15 but all are welcome regardless of financial circumstances. We welcome everyone regardless of experience, spiritual tradition, age, racial identity, gender, sexual identity or finances.
Some people might like continue to socialize over dinner and/or drinks afterwards. Welcome!

Join us at summer’s end for an in-person day of meditation, contemplative writing practice, and movement. No prior experience necessary. All are welcome!
By learning to rest in the present moment through mindfulness meditation, we connect with our own inherent sanity and worthiness despite what's happening in our world so that we can be present for every aspect of our lives.

> Guided group instruction will be given followed by periods of sitting and walking meditation.
> Contemplative writing practice exercises will be offered in which we will play with what arises from the infinite richness of space.
> Since our bodies naturally reside in the present moment, simple movement will be offered to help us synchronize mind and body, inviting space and gentle care.> Snacks and beverages will be provided throughout the day. There will be a lunch break from 12 – 1:30 pm. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or plan to pick something up at one of the local eateries.
WHAT TO BRING
We have plenty of assorted meditation cushions, though you are welcome to bring your own. Chairs are also available for sitting and writing practice. Participants should wear loose, comfortable clothing suitable for movement. Please bring a notebook, pad, or paper, and a couple of fast-moving pens. You may also choose to write on your laptop or other device.
