Queer Social Club - Sydney MEETUP JUNE 2025

BRRRRR the cold is having her MOMENT right now, and on the shortest day of the year, we pay homage to winter solstice folklore of old that encouraged people to be in the company of one another, eating, talking, and sharing poetry and stories - sounds good to us!!!

We're excited to get a rare weekend booking at the gorgeous Grounds of Alexandria, one of the most photographed precincts in Sydney - it's got a bustling family vibe on the weekends, so get in on the fun and go for a wander throughout the function areas and beautiful gardens.

11am - arriving together to find our spot / explore the Grounds
11:15am - our table is held for 1.5 hrs to eat

We’ll each be buying our own stuff from the menu at The Grounds Cafe, which you can check out here. Let us know your dietaries in your RSVP. (There’s no pressure to have a meal if you’d prefer a snack or drink only - there's no minimum spend).

Accessibility notes: This event is indoors at The Grounds of Alexandria - it’s a ground floor restaurant made up of many different themed dining rooms. We may be in a large space, so recommend earbuds if you’re sensitive to reverberating noise. We’ll be seated together in the CAFE section, not the Potting shed (the outdoor leafy space).

All aged 18+ welcome.

These events take place on unceded lands of the Land of the Gadigal Peoples. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and to Indigenous LGBTQIA+ folk, Brotherboys and Sistergirls everywhere. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
