About us

What is the goal of this group?

The goal is simple: to create a small, steady space where people can think together without rushing toward conclusions.

Not to agree.
Not to arrive.
Not to improve ourselves.

Just to look carefully at experience, language, belief, and habit as they show up in daily life.

This group exists to keep questions alive rather than settle them.

Who is this group for?

This group is for people who:
• are curious but not necessarily academically trained
• feel limited by belief systems, labels, or ready-made answers
• are comfortable with uncertainty
• want conversation without performance or persuasion

You do not need to know philosophy. You do not need to have read anything.
You only need the willingness to pay attention and speak honestly.

What happens at the meetings?

Each meeting is quiet and simple.
• We begin with a short passage, question, or observation.
It may come from Indian darshan, Greek thought, Western philosophy, or ordinary lived experience.
• We then sit in open inquiry together.
No lectures. No teaching. No debate. No conclusions.
• Silence is welcome. Speaking is optional. Listening matters.

The intention is not discussion about philosophy, but the act of thinking itself, as it unfolds in the moment.

What this group is not

This is not:
• a class or lecture series
• a spiritual or religious gathering
• a self-help or improvement group
• a place to promote personal work or ideas

If you’re looking for instruction, answers, or direction, this may not be the right space.

Tone
Equal. Quiet. Unresolved.
Free of hierarchy, authority, or spiritual instruction.
