FREE CHICAGO – Live at The Rady Shell!
Chicago brings their iconic sound to The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.
This is not a cover band.
Chicago is Celebrating their 58th consecutive year of touring, Chicago continues to captivate audiences with their signature blend of rock and roll infused with powerful horns and timeless hits.
How can this be FREE? We’ll enjoy the music from two public access areas. at the rear part where the guard station is You can set up your lawn chair there but you are not close to the performance. Still it's very nice. You can also walk along either side of the venue you just can't bring a chair past the guard station so you would need to find a bench or a rock to sit on.
If you want to take your chances on finding a place to sit bring a blanket or cushion if you wish and You are able to go down the side and get as close to the stage as you possibly can. I understand that sometimes people find seats or they're perching on rocks but they're much closer to the band. alternatively bring a chair and sit further back not close to the band but close enough to enjoy the concert because there is a TV screen that also is being broadcast so you can see or you can bring binoculars.
parking: If you pull up information on the concert there's parking if you want to pay for it I don't know how much it is. or you can leave your car at the Old Town Transit center and use the 🚎 trolley.
Leave your car at home! Take the Metropolitan Transit System Green Line trolley to the Convention Center Station stop. Cross Harbor Drive and look for the footpath found between the Convention Center and the Marriott Hotel. From there it’s just a short walk to The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park entrance. As you walk SW down the walkway and emerge on the other side, The Rady Shell is towards your left just down the Embarcadero footpath.
