What we’re about
I am starting this group because I have lived in Overland Park for three years and have yet to make any friends that have similar interests as me. I attend many events around the Kansas City area, and would like to extend an invitation to anyone that is interested. This will group will start by me posting events that I am going to, and can grow to include new events based on feedback and new friends with different interests. In the meantime, it will focus on craft beer, non-profits, and animal welfare.

The Kansas City Zoo is hosting their annual Zoo Run. This year's theme is "Run for the Lions". They are offering a 4 mile and 1 mile option. The 4 mile starts at 8:30am, and the 1 mile starts at 9:45am. I will be participating in the 1 mile run, but you are free to enter either.
The Kansas City Zoo Run is a local favorite, featuring a different species of animal each year.
All participants receive uniquely branded swag associated with the year's featured animal species. In addition to the swag, a portion of each participant's entry fee supports the Friends of the Zoo.
The uniquely branded swag that each participant will receive in 2025 includes the following:
- Custom designed featured species GO-EX Lion t-shirt
- Custom Lion finisher's medal
