Amazingly-Easy-12km-Walk! "Balmain-Birchgrove-Leichhardt-Lewisham" Get-Healthy!

Brand New Sections - Balmain-Birchgrove-Leichhardt-Lewisham! Exciting 12km Walk!

Be at Circular Quay - "Ferry Wharf 5" by 9.30am. This gives us breathing space to grab a coffee before catching the 9.45 ferry to Balmain Wharf - for 10am start.

We cross Mort Bay Park to Ballast Point Park and explore it's history on the way. It's not a race so we walk for fun and exercise. Next we go past Balmain Sailing Club.

Water Street Reserve next, then Dawn Frazer Baths. Beautiful views at Elkington Park, push through to Balmain Rowing Club. We keep going to Balmain Cove Park then Bridgewater Park.

Half-Way Stop: 10minutes! Rehydrate/Snack/nibbles. This is between 11.15-11.30.

We keep moving along under the Iron Cove Bridge to King George Park, past Callan Park. Easy beautiful walking through to Leichhardt Oval, then reaching Le Montage.

Canal Road & Blackmore Oval next, then hit onto my new direction to Richard Murden Reserve and Hawthorne Dog Park to "Bones Cafe" then continue to Marion.

Eventually we hit Lewisham Pub for drinks or a bite (close to Lewisham Station) LUNCH is best at END of WALK (now) approximately 1pm. Lewisham Hotel is perfect! You can eat your own food, or buy a meal here. Now you deserve a drink! Yippee!

Difficulty: 12km - Basic Easy some stairs, early exit options many places.
Walking Pace: An easy steady pace at 4km-4.25km per hour.

What to Bring: Comfortable outfit, a litre of water (many refill places), snacks or light lunch for half way, hat, sunscreen, a raincoat just in case of wet weather. Bring your happy personality too!
