Event Driven Architecture & stories about timely data
Details
We're excited to announce that we have launched REA Group's official meet-up. We will be kicking things off in Sydney and this time it’s for our developer friends.
The evening is based around Event-driven Architecture which is a hot topic right. We will discuss how it helps us collaborate across the business, in real time, with scale and resilience.
As products evolve from startup to enterprise, the one thing that is always a speed bump is our data. How our data is captured, stored and can provide further business value is key to our success. This talk shares the challenges and experiences of why thinking about data from an event-driven lens can change the way you build your systems and provide timely (not always real-time) business collaboration.
We will start the evening off with Kenny Joseph, REA Architect, who will be telling us a few stories about timely data and will cover how REA is building flexible and resilient event-driven systems and how the team think about data when making products.
We will then heard from Jonathan Schoeller who will be covering of Data Liberation Patterns for Event-Driven Architectures
We will then have a panel including Alison Rosewarne, EM of Architecture at REA Group and Craig Templeton, acting CTO at REA Group (Q&A style) that will share their experiences and learnings in this space.
The evening will then finish off with some drinks and nibbles, grab some swag, a great opportunity to meet some new people.
