Bruce Trail: Waterdown Falls Hike – (20km @ 4.5km/h) - L3/Moderate
Details
This hike combines “In-and-Out” sections with some scenic loops, taking us through Clappison Woods, past the rushing waters of Grindstone Creek, forested slopes, mature woodlots, and the beautiful falls in Waterdown.
The terrain is variable, with hilly and rocky sections. We’ll move at a steady pace of about 4.5 km/h. This outing is best suited for intermediate hikers who are ready for a full day on the trail.

Travel Coordination:
- Coordination can be handled directly in the event’s comment section between drivers and passengers.
- To help with carpooling, please post a comment after RSVPing with your closest major intersection or subway station and whether you’re a Driver wanting to offer carpooling or Passenger.
- Examples:
- Driver – near Keele & Wilson, can take 2 passengers.
- Passenger – near Sheppard-Yonge Station, can meet anywhere along Line 1.
- Carpool suggested compensation per CAR: ~$25 / divided among passengers and paid directly to driver
- Meeting at Trail Head 9:30am
Event Guidelines:
- Punctuality, Please arrive on time so we can start promptly. We won't be able to wait for more than 5min past the start time
- Pack out everything you bring (including nut shells, fruit peels, etc.) to help keep our trails clean.
- RSVP: Only those marked as “Going” and have confirmed travel details (if requested) are eligible to attend the event.
- If your plans change and you are no longer able to attend, please update your RSVP as soon as possible.
- No-shows without prior communication may result in removal from future events.
- Weather Considerations The hike is a go rain or shine, so please be prepared for the conditions. for example, If it’s expected to rain, waterproof gear (like a jacket or shoes)
- Pets: please check with the organizer for details before bringing your pet.
