Chanting is an important Buddhist practice used extensively in most Buddhist lineages. It serves not just to aid memory and recall of the suttas/ sutras, but also to strengthen the feeling of sangha and to quiet the thinking mind and help provide access to the unconditioned mind.

And chanting is an important part of our practice at Red Clay Sangha.
After a successful and popular study and practice session, a collective decision was made to continue chanting practice on a regular basis. Each session will be different as we draw on different chants, practices, and traditions, and as we take different approaches to chant duration, whether we are standing or walking or sitting, etc. And each session will stand completely on its own without direct correlation to prior or subsequent sessions. So please join us.

This is open to everyone, regardless of background or experience level.

Note that these sessions are in person only. The dynamics of chanting and of sharing space together are important and this doesn't translate well to a hybrid or Zoom environment.
