What we’re about
Excited about the Triangle's only Independent Scuba group?
Our goal is to serve as a vehicle for Triangle divers to get together for the purpose of planning trips both to local dive destinations and for longer distance tropical trips. We also hope to provide a venue where local divers can gather, get to know each other, and have a blast!

- A Day of Diving at Lake Phoenix in Rawlings VALake Phoenix Scuba Park, Family Campgrounds & Paintball, Rawlings, VA
We will be making the ~1.5 hour road trip up I-85 to the beautiful Lake Phoenix SCUBA park in Rawlings, VA.
From https://lakephoenixva.com/ ....
"Experience a spectacular underwater adventure when you go for a dive at Lake Phoenix Scuba Park & Family Campground in Rawlings, VA. Our quarry is well known for having the clearest water in the mid-Atlantic region, making it a perfect home for bluegill, bass, turtles, and crawfish."We went twice last year and it was very fun.
-Let's meet at the Dive Shop at the lake at 9:00 AM.
-I can take 3 other divers in my vehicle if anyone wants to carpool. We will coordinate pickup place and time depending on who will be riding with me.
-My (Paul's) cell phone is 919 448 8977. Call or text with any questions or to coordinate logistics.
-I expect to bring two tanks for myself. It looks like they do have tanks and air-fills available on site. If you are counting on that, you might want to confirm availability with their shop in advance. They have a nice website with contact info.
-The dive resort has online payment and waiver that should be completed in advance of the visit. And they say that you need to bring your C-card to show that you are certified for diving.
-The advertised price for a day of diving in the quarry as of today is $34.75. All divers will work with the dive resort directly regarding entry fee, waivers, and any equipment needs.
-The park claims to have food available, but in the past it has been hit-and-miss. If you plan to stay for dive #2, I suggest you bring lunch or at least snacks.
-Please note that this is not a guided or supervised dive, but rather a group of certified divers each responsible for arranging their admission, evaluating their own qualifications and readiness to dive, planning and executing their dives in a safe way, and providing their own equipment.
Hope you can join us!
