Description:
Maxwell Mays Wildlife Refuge is an Audubon Society of Rhode Island property located in Coventry. The property covers roughly 295 acres, including Carr Pond which is ~11 acres in size. The property was donated to Audubon in 2010. It was the former home of a well known painter, Maxwell Mays. We will be hiking through a mix of forest, fields, and wetlands.
We will hike ~4 miles on trails of easy to moderate difficulty. We will cover all the trails on the property, and will repeat some trails in doing that.
