What we’re about
This group is for Rhode Islanders (or those nearby) who want to make new friends and eat good food together.
The group will meet on Wednesdays at 7PM, with a goal of visiting or revisiting as many restaurants as we can throughout the year.
To keep the reservations and the conversations manageable, participation will be limited to six diners at any one gathering. If we get a lot of interest in the group, we can rotate members.

P.S. You don't have to attend every dinner. Come when you can. Though ideally you'll want to make this a regular outing...

If, like me, you've never been to hibachi restaurant before, get ready for a fun and tasty night!
Newcomers are welcome! If you've never been to one of our MeetUps, this would be a great way to get to know your fellow foodies!
Guests are allowed and encouraged, although they must be reflected in your RSVP. Seating is capped at 10 diners for this event.
As we will be seated together, an accurate headcount is required. Therefore, an RSVP is mandatory. Please do not say you are coming unless you can commit to attending. If your plans change, let us know by the prior Monday so that we may offer your seat to another diner.
I will confirm your attendance via text on Monday evening. Please provide a working cell phone number when you respond (your contact info will not be shared with anyone else).
Note: No-shows will not be invited to future MeetUp dinners. Please understand that I make these reservations under my personal name, so your last-minute cancellation gives me a black eye with the restaurant if we are unable to fill the seat.
We'll have more casual events where you can drop in without having to RSVP in advance, but this is not one of those events. If you want a seat at Shogun, you'll need to commit to attending by the Monday deadline. Thank you for your cooperation.
