Sacred Heart Center Fall Festival Volunteer Day (Morning Shift)

**Please read the entire event description because this is not a "drop-in" volunteer opportunity**

The Sacred Heart Center in Richmond is opening its doors to the community for the 35th annual Fall Festival, celebrating 35 years of connecting Latino families with tools to thrive and flourish!

For the occasion, Trying to Speak Spanish RVA is supporting the event by inviting members to participate as volunteers. This is an excellent opportunity to practice your skills and get involved with the community!

Details:

• Shifts: There will be two, three-hour shifts during the day: morning (this meetup event) and afternoon (hosted on a different post), from 10AM-1PM and 1PM-4PM respectively.
• Registration: Because this is an official Sacred Hear Center event, volunteers will need to register with the center and complete a background check process. Once you signup here, you will be contacted first via meetup and put in touch with the center. This is not a drop-in volunteer activity event. To give time for the background check, registration for this event will close on 10/13.
• Orientation: Once you have fully completed registering with the Center will be holding a volunteer orientation on 10/15. It is advised, but not mandatory to attend.
• Roles: Volunteers are asked to be flexible in possibly shifting between different roles throughout the shift, but the center is seeking assistance in: Stairway Monitor, Safety Monitor, Hall Monitor, Free Goodie Distributor, Registration Host, Bouncy Castle Monitor, Games Manager, and Tour Leader (Bilingual Requirement).

Anyone not able to volunteer should still feel free to attend the festival! It's free and open to the public and obviously a great way to dip a toe into Richmond's Spanish-Language community!
