Appreciation & Grief Hike In Valley Forge Park

Details

This is a small dive into some ecopsychology practices.

There is a lot of heaviness right now in the world. Whether you have experienced grief in your personal life with friends or family in some way, or you are in some form of grief process about the larger state of things, such as climate anxiety, difficulty with war, oppression, our disconnected way of living, or anything else, life can feel taxing nowadays.

Part of the reconnection with nature, especially done with intention and held in a group container,

The first part of the hike is slow and silent. The invitation is to sit with grief or difficulty. Send that energy to the world around you. Life and death, loss and growth, all exists in a cycle here. After some time, we'll sit and open it up to voluntarily sharing ("talking stick" turn taking style)

We'll then turn towards appreciation. Same drill.

In all, we're looking at a max of 2 hours, but that can vary greatly depending on how many people show up.
