    This seminar will discuss tools, tips, and tricks for:
  • Organizing your data
  • Coding workflows and best practices
  • Repositories / projects / environments
  • Project management
  • Collaborating across skill levels and programming languages
  • Who is going to present?
    Dr. Caitie Keumpel is a conservation scientist who is currently a joint post-doctoral fellowship with the University of Queensland and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in UQ's Coral Reef Ecosystems lab. Caitie recently finished a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis at UC Santa Barbara quantifying, mapping and comparing the environmental impacts of major food systems across the land and sea. Her research interests include protected area design, food system sustainability, and managing impacts on coral reefs.

  • When are we meeting?
    The talk will start at 5:00 pm to allow for socializing, questions, and discussion on workflows following the presentation. Finish time 6:30 pm.

  • Where are we meeting?
    We will meet virtually using Zoom, the link will be visible to people who RSVP.

  • What else is needed?
    This will be a ~40 min presentation followed by time for questions and discussion of workflow tools/tips/tricks.
