How R you? - R-Ladies Melbourne 4th anniversary

Hi everyone!

To celebrate our 4th anniversary with the R-Ladies community we would like to re-propose an event format that we did in the past, which we named "How R you?"!

Have you ever had the thought: "I wonder how my friend is coding!" or "How would other people code this?" or "What's their favourite R tip?". Or maybe you have burning R questions but don't have R friends around you to help you debug it?
This is the time to share our coding thoughts, tips and questions that we could collectively answer!

We would like YOU TO SHARE WITH US YOUR FAVOURITE BITS OF R and/or a R RELATED QUESTION

WHAT TO DO

1. SHARE WITH US HERE https://forms.gle/qSt5Q8PRmCNp29Xe6 or via email to melbourne@rladies.org, an R/R Studio function or functionality; a way to build a model or visualise your data that you use in your workflow or that you simply really like; your favourite R moment or tips from our events! You can also add something about yourself and in which field you use R. The format can be one slide, one R/Rmd script or anything that works for you!

2. PRESENT IT at our event in 5 MINUTES. This will be a great opportunity to share your R tips, ask for feedback from the audience and practice your public speaking in a friendly, non-judgemental environment!

3. WE WILL CREATE ANOTHER R-LADIES MELBOURNE TIPS REPOSITORY. Submit something even if you think you might not be free on the night. We'd still love to combine all the R-Ladies tips in one Rmarkdown and make it available to everyone! Depending on the number of submissions we will restructure the repository into themes.

4. WIN A FABULOUS PRIZE! We will draft LUCKY WINNERS among the presenters to win an amazing prize (R EARRINGS, bags and much more!)!!

NETWORKING EVENT

Following the lightning talks, we will hold a networking event and online birthday celebration so that participants have the opportunity to interact with each other!

The format of the networking will be announced.

Even though some restrictions are being released this event will still be held online.
