Into the Woods at the Ramapo Reservation

Details
Let's take advantage of a forecast for milder weather and head for the woods!
This will be an approx. 2-3 hour moderate hike about 3-4 miles using the Yellow Vista trail, the Blue and the scenic pink trail around the reservoir at the Ramapo Res. Weather resistant(weather dependent) Hiking boots or shoes recommended and hiking poles may come in handy.
Bring MANDATORY WATER(w/ electrolytes to stay better hydrated, low sodium options), snacks, sun protection, Bugspray, binoculars and cameras!
This hike will be at a slow/moderate pace with breaks to enjoy the views. There will be several moderate inclines on mostly woods trails, some very rocky. Not for beginners. Those wanting a shorter, easier hike can return from McMillan Reservoir and do another loop around Scarlet Pond at the bottom.
We will hike up past the waterfalls to the McMillan Reservoir where we will pick up the Pink Trail which loops around the reservoir. We'll take a short break on the ledge overlooking the Reservoir. May do the waterfalls on the return trip.
MEETUP in the far end of the parking lot by the Restroom building.
Optional dinner at the Mason Jar or Mahwah B & G depending upon interest and availability.
PLEASE GIVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME WHEN FINDING A NEW LOCATION AND DO SOME RESEARCH.
