What are your permaculture objectives and how can this meetup better support your goals? This open forum is for input and feedback on planning 2026 meetups. How about a permaculture festival? One is in the works for July 4th (see below).

Announcements:
A new field practice opportunity with Tillson Arts & Ecology will begin this spring. Start observing your own surroundings now, and keep looking and learning as each season unfolds. Apply both physical and conceptual techniques to your process with simple permaculture tools of observation, working with natural patterns and utilizing onsite materials. Sessions will be held Tues mornings & Thurs afternoons as soon as weather allows.

In the works: an alternative 4th of July festival based on permaculture principles of interdependence & relationship will be in the formative stages through the end of January. Along with educators and wellness practitioners, creatives of all kinds are invited to make proposals. Food and crafts vendors and those willing to offer hands-on demonstrations are also encouraged to respond. Gathering community in July is a long-standing permaculture tradition in our region that was interrupted by covid. Now feels like a good time to re-group, share our skills and plan.

This January 13th meetup will be an opportunity to pitch proposals and brainstorm spontaneously. Does an empowered community of teachers and learners who share knowledge freely interest you? Face to face interactions sustain our humanity and improve our ability to exchange knowledge, goods and services locally. A web of relations, a more vibrant and interdependent community, a consciousness shift and more are in store in 2026.
