Melbourne Ruby - Newbies night

This is a special ruby meetup we have organised particularly for those that are new to ruby and rails. We'll have a range of introductory 5 minute lightning talks, plus socialising, food and drinks.

Our ever-wonderful speakers and topics are:

• Gareth Townsend - 'inject is for wizards and other enumerables'

• Darcy Laycock - Learning by Doing: The stuff I learnt by screwing up

• Natasha Postolovski - Learning to Love Tests

• Rhiana Heath - Looking back on what I learned during my first year of coding

• Jared Shay - The hardest code I now understand

• Trung Lê - Learning about Ruby modules

The food is sponsored by Envato (http://www.envato.com), Lookahead Search (http://www.lookahead.com.au) and Redbubble (http://www.redbubble.com), the drinks by Zendesk (http://zendesk.com), and the space by Inspire9 (http://inspire9.com).

Rock up from 6pm for some early chatter, we'll kick the proceedings off properly around 6:30, hear from our presenters, and then socialise further when dinner arrives.
