A CNPS SD Fall tradition – Giving our membership and the public a chance to meet up, peruse our selection of CA native plants, seeds, merchandise, visit with our partnering organizations for tips and advice, and of course have a lovely day out – all in support of our Chapter’s continuing mission to preserve our beautiful native flora!
Parking:
Regular parking is permitted within Sikes Adobe public lot from Sunset Dr. A Loading / Unloading area is provided along with volunteer help to take carts back after you are done using them.
There is also Overflow Parking across the street at the Westfield Shopping Center A shuttle will be making pick ups and drop offs regularly ( Approx. every 20 minutes) – If you choose to walk across the street, please take care to cross at designated crosswalks. From Westfield lot to Sykes Adobe is 1/3 mile (0.5 km) walk.
DO NOT PARK IN THE TRAIL HEAD PARKING AT END OF SUNSET DR OR AT THE GOLF CENTER. These lots are reserved for trail users and golfers.
This event is more than just a sale! It’s a chance to learn from a wide range of CNPS San Diego experts and connect with fellow plant enthusiasts. Explore a special and diverse selection of native plants, enjoy delicious food, fun activities, and a community atmosphere throughout the day. This sale is a major fundraiser for CNPS SD, supporting our mission to promote and protect California’s native plants. Don’t miss this chance to garden with natives while supporting a great cause!

The 2025 CNPS San Diego FALL PLANT SALE offers hundreds of different species and cultivars of native plants for use in your garden or pots on your patio! OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Line forms before 9AM, but plants can sell out quickly for certain types. We've tried to accommodate the popularity, but it can be tough to get enough for everyone.

FEATURES:
EXPERT ADVICE: Landscape architects and master gardeners will be present to answer questions and help pick out companion plants. Every plant has a complete profile with the CNPS website and at the sale.

PLANT HOLDING AREA: Place your plant into the holding area to shop more or to keep them safe while you get a cart / your car. Runners will be there to help transport plants to your car.

SEEDS / BOOKS / MERCH / INFO: Tables will be selling seeds from some wild sources and from member gardens, our chapter table of hundreds of books, CNPS merchandise, and Information from the many Experts and partnerships at the sale.

HARD TO FIND & RARE PLANTS: Our nursery contacts and member grown donations grow healthy common and rare plants, a wide variety of which will be available. Pricing is less than retail and tax free.

PARTNERS: An amazing array of supporters from the San Diego County Master Gardeners to the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance are coming to represent their missions.

NATIVE GARDENS: Check out the plants as they are growing in and around the adobe.

Click if you're attending and spread the word! You won't need to sign up on Meetup to attend the sale, but you will need to come out on Saturday. Cash, credit, ApplePay, and checks with valid CA ID are accepted. Thanks!
