Welcome to the Official San Diego Mahjong Club! We’re a friendly, inclusive club of Mahjong enthusiasts. Our primary format is Zung Jung (Modern Hong Kong Style) (pronounced zhung young) — a balanced, beginner-friendly Mahjong variant. We also play both Riichi (Japanese) and International Mahjong, but ZJ is our go-to variant.

Mahjong Night is the easiest way to learn Mahjong in San Diego. The format played at this event is Zung Jung (Modern Hong Kong Style) — an easy-to-learn format — and we provide easy-to-use cheat sheets, quick reference cards, and friendly instruction so you can pick it up as you play. Come as you are, bring a friend, grab a drink, and leave knowing how to play!

International Mahjong [Play Session]
At Ease Games, 8400 Miramar Rd, 250, San Diego, CA, USJoin us for an exciting and challenging game of MCR, also known as Chinese Official Mahjong or International Mahjong! Everyone is welcome, but this event is designed for players already familiar with the basic rules of Mahjong. If you are unfamiliar with the rules of MCR please RSVP for our Introduction to International Mahjong class in the hour preceeding this event.
New players are welcome to give it a try — just know that MCR is one of the more challenging Mahjong variants and has a steeper learning curve than other styles. If you’re up for the challenge, we’ll be happy to have you at the table!
