Italian Potluck for Winter Solstice

Our Global Family Farm will be hosting the multicultural potluck on December 21 at 1p.m- with the theme of Italian Food to honor this important recognition.

We are so excited to hear of that UNESCO has awarded Italian Food as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in December of 2025. This is the first time a national cuisine has received this recognition! The key aspects of this recognition include: Cultural Significance, Sustainability, Communal Activity, National Identity, Economic and Protective Value.

Italy pursued this nomination in 2023, highlighting food as a social ritual.

It is inspiring and important to see the intricate relationships between food and culture being celebrated.
