Join us for a 3-4 mile hike in the back section of Spring Lake Preserve.
Directions from IH 35:
Take Exit 206, go toward town on TX-82 Loop/Aquarina Springs Drive (lots of construction, take care).
Do not get on the overpass (currently under construction). At the T, turn right on Post Road.
Left after 0.4 miles on Lime Kiln Road (Travis Elementary school will be on the left hand corner).
Continue on Lime Kiln for approximately 0.75 miles. Look for parking lot on the left.
As always, join us for food and conversation at a local restaurant after the hike.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FIRST-TIMERS
Welcome! We're glad you're joining us on this hike and hope to see you on many more in the future, but a couple of things to keep in mind.
- Please arrive about 5 minutes early for the hike. We do not wait more than a very few minutes for hikers to arrive.
- If you change your mind or can't make it, please change your RSVP.
- If you are an experienced hiker, this and all other trails in San Marcos are easy. However, if you are a novice hiker, you need to know that many San Marcos trails are extremely rocky. There are often elevation changes of 50 to 150 feet.
We hike at a moderate pace of about 2.5 miles an hour in the woods and 3 on streets and sidewalks.
If you have problems with balance or need to walk slowly, this hike probably is not for you. However, we encourage you to join us for our regular city and neighborhood walks.
