Pt. Loma College & Sunset Cliffs - urban walk
Details
An urban walk: 6.5 miles, 2 1/2 hours, 500 ft total gain. Mostly sidewalks, with some dirt trails . This is NOT a casual stroll: the walk includes some very steep hills, and we will be walking at a brisk pace, about 3 mph.
Route: Walk south on Sunset Cliffs, to Pt. Loma Nazarene University. Through the college up to the top of Point Loma ridge, then part way down the east side to enjoy the view of Downtown from Lucy Evans Memorial Garden. Then to Pt. Loma Park, and back to our start point. Route map in "Photos" section below.
Hazards: We'll be walking on some streets do not have sidewalks, so walkers must be alert for cars, and use common sense.
Start time: Meet at 8:30am, start walking promptly at 8:35am.
Where: On the cliffs at 1343 Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Free parking on the streets.
No dogs on this walk.
