Sunset & Full Moon Hike @ Santa Barbara Scenic Coastline & Waterfront

Due to cloudy weather, this hike was rescheduled from Nov 5, to Dec 4, the next full moon.

Wednesday, Nov 5, the moon will be closest to the earth, giving a larger appearance. We will watch the sun setting and moonrise at 1000 Steps Beach, then continue to Shoreline Park, Leadbetter Beach, Marina & Harbor, West Beach, Stearns Wharf & Pier, Boardwalk, East Beach, and turn back. Perigee full moon walk in Santa Barbara would be my first time, and I expect this to be a very exciting and beautiful experience.
We may stop at Finney's Crafthouse or other restaurant on the return.

Start & End: Shoreline Park, Far West Parking

Distance: up to 10 mile

Experience & Skill: navigate urban street & traffic safely

Ability: assess and manage risks effectively

Supply & Equipment: adequate hydration, food, headlamp or flashlight, warm clothing as needed for potential windy cold conditions

Physical & Mental: healthy & fit for casual & up to 4 mph fast pace walking

Personality & Character: authentic, sincere, down to earth, enthusiastic, cheerful, good sense of humor, cordial and pleasant to chat with, effective in communicating

Mindset: adventurous yet very safety conscious, self responsible & self accountable, intellectually curious, independent thinking, open-minded worldview, can do attitude
