Estimated 13 miles, 3500’ of climb & descent. This socializing hike & exploring in beautiful nature would be a great workout for most people. Some fun scrambling and boulder climbing on the way to Broadcast Peak.
Both Broadcast and Santa Ynez Peaks are over 4000’ above sea level, and most often peaking above marine layer dense fog, providing spectacular views of the Pacific, Goleta, Santa Barbara and Lake Cachuma, even when it is foggy or cloudy on the coastline and Santa Barbara. At 4298’ above sea level, Santa Ynez Peak is the most prominent peak in this vicinity.
