Scenic Explore: Pismo Monarch Butterlfy, Pier, Downtown, Dinosaur Caves

Pismo Beach is a beautiful and vibrant coastal town, especially the areas along the oceanfront.

This exploring hike start from W Grand Ave, Grover Beach, taking Meadow Creek Trail and wood plank walkway to Pismo Monarch Butterfly Preserve, then on urban walkway to downtown and Pismo Beach Pier, scenic coastal walkway to Dinosaur Caves Park, and back. This is an urban and scenic coastal exploring hike, nature photography, and checking out winter monarch butterflies, various species of fungi, and lots of seabirds. And I expect this trip to be very scenic, fun and exciting.

Distance & Climb: up to 10 mile, 600’ climb & descent

Supply & Equipment: adequate proper hydration & nourishment, reliable headlamp and windbreaker as needed for potential night return, optional camera with telephoto lens, binoculars
