For our next book, one of our members, Susan M., selected The Only Woman in the Room, by Marie Benedict. It was a Barnes and Noble bookclub pick and on The NY Times bestseller list. It's a fictionalized biographical account of Hedy LaMarr, a famous actress in the 40s as well as an inventor and scientist. (The above picture is Hedy and Clark Gable in Comrade X, 1940.)
