What we’re about
The focus of this meet up is primarily on hiking in the summer, and cross-country skiing in the winter. That said, if you have a good idea that fits the "outdoor enthusiasts" description, by all means, send in the request and let's post it as an event. Examples are: biking, camping, snowshoeing, kayaking, and canoeing.
Most of the events will be near Saskatoon, but there are many interesting places to explore within a few hours' drive of the city so...let's get out there.
Now the unpleasant part: meetup sites cost money, so in order to offset the costs of this site I'm requesting that participants pay $5 per year, due at the first activity you participate in each year.
See you on the trails...

See all- OUTLOOK RIVERBANK HIKE (15-20km)Tim Hortons, Saskatoon, SK
Please read before signing up for this event:
$10 annual fee: if this is your first hike of 2025, please pay $10 annual fee. You can pay by cash or preferably, e-transfer eneudorf@hotmail.comThis hike passes through Outlook Regional Park, then continues along the Trans Canada Trail and finally ventures onto a large sandbar that is several km long. The trail underfoot is clear but there are a couple of sections where the grass on each side can be waist high and like a jungle. I went last week and there were zero ticks. There are hills, and great views of the South Saskatchewan river. We may have the opportunity to check out B.O.B. aka the famous "big old bridge" that still stands, unused, a relic of the past.
If it’s a hot day we can cool off at the side of the river.
Bring: an extra layer to put on for breaks or if it’s too cold, a hat, at least 2L water, snacks, lunch, a first aid kit and bug spray. Check the forcast-- a rain jacket may be necessary. A sit pad or very small folding chair could be useful. A good idea to bring a spare pair of shoes to leave in the car to change into after the hike. It’s worth wearing long socks or pants to keep the scratches from the brush to a minimum. The hike will take about 5 hours plus travelling time.
Keep an eye out for porcupines, hawks and jack rabbits and maybe a garter snake or two.
After the hike we may stop in a local bakery before heading back to Saskatoon.
We’ll meet at the Tim Horton’s(Clarence Ave) in Stonebridge at 9:00am and carpool. The town of Outlook is 1 hour from Saskatoon.
