Tuesday Evening Walk from The White Horse at Harpenden

Our first time from this new location has given us a stunning walk from Harpenden, perfect for an end of the day blast of fresh air, exercise, good company and scenery. It's about 5.5 miles across the fields with great views over the rolling hills, walking through a couple of woods, past Rothamsted Manor house and the cottages of Hatching Green, Harpenden Common and a stretch down The Nickey Line. A lot to see and enjoy. Walking time approx 2.5 hours.

The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.

After the walk there's the option of staying for a chat, food and a drink at The White Horse pub.

Free Parking
There is plenty of parking in the pub and they are happy for us to park there.

Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.

Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals. These events are not for children.
