Thursday Evening Walk from Bridgewater Monument to Ashridge Forest

Details

This is a refreshing scenic 5 mile walk through the forest and beyond, and hopefully the footpaths will be dappled in the evening sun. This walk goes from Bridgewater Monument (the lookout tower) through the woods of Ashridge Estate and on to the picturesque Aldbury village, famous for its pond (as seen on TV; Midsomer Murders and even The Dirty Dozen), then back via the valley pathways with their expansive views across the countryside, finally returning along the well-known Duncombe Terrace walkway. Walking time about 2 hours.

The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.

Meeting Point and Parking
We'll meet at the base of Bridgewater Monument. Please note that this is NOT Ashridge House. Ashridge House is about a mile away as the crow flies.

Travelling from London / by Train
