Oxford 'Park and Walk' and Tourism

Details
This is a Sunday walk with a difference: A three mile river walk into Oxford's tourist centre from the famous Trout Inn, Wolvercote, popular as a film location for Inspector Morse and Lewis, not to mention being a stunning riverside venue. Specifically, we'll meet at Godstow Car Park, 300 metres away, and walk from there, past The Trout, and along the River Thames into Oxford. You'll then have a couple of hours for tourism and lunch as you wish, and we'll meet again at 2:15pm where the walk into town ends for the return walk back to Godstow Car Park. Please note that if you are not there on time you'll have to make your own way back, as we cannot delay due to the need to get people back within the 5 hours parking time - see below. Distance and walking time 3 miles, approx. 1 hour, twice.
The price for the walk is £5 for first-time attendees or £2 for returning walkers.
Unofficially, once we arrive in the city, I may lead an informal route to the most popular sights, the Bridge of Sighs, the Bodleian Library and the Radcliffe Camera (see gallery) as they're all pretty close to each other.
At the end of the day there's the option of staying for a drink at The Trout Inn, overlooking the river. Please note that parking at The Trout is not possible on a Sunday for walkers. If you want to arrange an evening meal with them you can call them directly on 01865 510 930.
Parking
We'll meet at the Godstow Car Park on Godstow Road in the village of Wolvercote. Parking there is £2.80 for up to 5 hours, and £10.90 for over 5 hours, so the walk is designed to finish and get back by 3:30pm, so anyone parking after 10:30am will only need a 5 hour ticket.
In the event that Godstow Car Park is full, there is roadside parking 400 metres away on either Home Close or Meadow Prospect in Wolvercote. Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City Council have both confirmed that there are no residential parking zones on these two roads, but if you use them do check for yourselves as I can't do any more than phone to check, so can't take responsibility for your roadside parking.
If you are late or cannot park elsewhere, while we will have to go without you, you can at least go to Peartree Park & Ride, a mile and a half away, and have yourself a nice day out in the city. The address for Peartree Park & Ride is 21 Lakeside, Oxford OX2 8JD.
