Sunday Walk from The Artisan at Cow Roast near Tring
Details
This is a brand new walk and our first time from this location; the super-sized Artisan Bar and Grill at Cow Roast between Tring and Berkhamsted. Our route takes us across the fields with great views right across the valley, along a lovely stretch of the Grand Union Canal, on to a picturesque village and back through some beautiful woods in time for drinks and optional lunch at the destination restaurant. Distance 6.5 miles. Walking time approx. 2.5 to 3 hours.
The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.
So, of course, after the walk there's the option of staying for a chat, food and a drink at The Artisan.
Free Parking
There is free parking in any of three free public car parks along the track, just to the right of the entrance to The Artisan. This track accesses the municipal football pitches and the padel centre (Berko Padel) at the far end of the track.
Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.
