School of Magick is a bit of a misnomer (we didn't choose it) we're more about sharing experiences. We have been practicing magic for a long time and we want to share our experiences with others and have them share their experiences with us. We've found that we have learned important things from complete beginners. So, to this end, we have lots of magical activities and workshops where we can all have fun while we're learning from each other. Come along sometime and have a cuppa with us ...

The School of Magick is a place where magical-minded people can come learn and practise the esoteric arts.
The Esoteric Bookshop and the Coven of the Eternal Goddess have teamed up to create this mixed-gender magical group. This group will give both women and men the chance to come along and explore ritual and ceremony, spellcraft, invocation, magical herblore, the Wheel of the Year, meditation, and the psychic arts in a friendly and comfortable environment.

Let’s have fun exploring the worlds of angels & nature spirits. You might find you garden suddenly blooming or your pockets full of gold!
These workshops are open to anyone that wishes to come along; and at which we will be exploring, in a hands-on fashion (in other words, you get to do some of the conjuration – if you wish – or you can just watch) the invocation and evocation of angels, planetary spirits, elementals, daemons, etc.
You don’t need to wear magical robes or bring magical tools or weapons but are welcome to do so if you wish.
Warning for those with sensitive noses. We will be burning incense.

This is done by 'Solve et Coagula' in Alchemical terms. You undergo a series of challenges that essentially help you pull yourself apart, realise which parts of yourself you have created as an 'illusion', and change that ‘illusion’ so that you can reassemble yourself in a better and more perfect way. HORD doesn’t do it. You do it. But you have the rest of the group to support and back you up as we all go through the process together.
Rending the Veil is a ‘profound’ experience. We don’t let go of our illusions easily. The whole process consists of finding your ‘illusions’ and seeing them for what they are – unreal. There is a simple test to check if you’ve found an illusion. Emotion. If something makes you laugh, cry, get pissed off – congratulations; you’ve found one.
Enlightened Buddhists, when they find another illusion, roll around laughing for hours and hours and hours. In fact, people like the Dalai Lama spend most of the day rolling around in laughter – the more enlightened you are – the more illusions you find.

Beginning with a blessing of the seeds, we then perform an elemental conjuring of a magical growing mix to nourish & empower our seeds to grow healthy & strong. Participants are encouraged to take home some seeds & magical growing mix to grow & nurture their wishes into manifestation.*AFTERNOON – IMBOLG CELEBRATION AROUND THE FIRE OF
CREATIVITY
An afternoon of feasting & fun & music around the indoor fire, including seasonal poetry & song. For those wishing to get into the creative spirit of the season, bring along a creative project, for example, knitting or sewing, to work on in the radiant, magical atmosphere of the Imbolg Fire.All contributions of seasonal food, fun, music & magic most welcome; and encouraged!
