Free TryItOut Scottish Country Dance Event

Try a free taste of SCD on March 22, 2025 in Camberwell. 2 pm at BDSAC Hall, Fordham Ave, Camberwell, next to Willison Station and a short warm up stroll from the 70 tram on Riversdale Rd. Our group is keen to give Melburnians a chance to try our lovely dance style.
We will try some of the famous dances of Scotland like the Gay Gordons. No fancy steps! We will be dancing walkthrough style.
And have a go at some easy set dances, the heart and soul of SCD.
All those lairds, ladies and ghillies can’t be wrong! This is a great chance to try something new- you may find yourself a member of the clan.

Soft shoes only, trainers are fine, absolutely no hard soled shoes or boots and, heaven forbid, no high heels. Casual soft clothes to dance in. Bring water bottle. Tickets free but essential on Humanitix.
