About us
Welcome to Scrambled Legs and a Pint.
We are primarily a hiking group with the aim to hike, paddle, camp and even enjoy a pub, cafe or anywhere that will take us! <br>Also, in this time of hardship, we as a group are proud to be using half of the proceeds to support local food banks and soup kitchens. Any donations on top of walk fees are welcome, be the spare change or (non-perishable) food items dropped off at the walk.
If you enjoy a good banter, great company, being outdoors with similar folk and most importantly fun and laughter, we may just be the group you are looking to get involved with.
Come prepared with a hot drink and a smile! All we ask is respect for fellow hikers and the environment we all enjoy so much.
If you have any questions please message one of the co-organisers or myself and we will be more than happy to help.
Whether you're a first timer or a seasoned regular, you will always be made to feel very welcome.
Let the fun begin! 😊

Golden Valley Canal walk with lunch at Long Table; pre-pay to book a spot
Brimscombe Port car park, Brimscombe, Stroud, GBAt Long Table every hot meal served is pay-as-you-can, so that food is accessible to everyone, regardless of means. It’s not about charity – it's about dignity, equality, and a community supporting neighbours who need a little help.
Last year they served 35,000 meals, and almost half of those were provided at below what it cost to make them, or at no cost at all.
Sounds good, right?
We will walk out-and-back for 2.5 hours, which is around 5 miles and it will be flat, mostly on toepath. Then lunch at Long Table, which is usually vegan (there is only one meal option, so you need to be happy to eat a random vegan meal). Seconds and thirds are free. Drinks and cakes are extra.
There is also an upcycled furniture store here, toy exchange and bookshop.
The fee for this walk is £10, which includes lunch at slightly above cost. Do pay more if you want/can. That whole amount will be given to Long Table in exchange for our lunch tokens.
Dogs welcome, and there are toilets at the end.
Parking: the map and W3W send you to a car park that is signed as private, but it is available for use at weekends and is free.
