About us
Seacoast Nature Connection brings people together to build our knowledge of the beautiful natural places nearby and share the skills needed to interact meaningfully with them. Events will consist of guided nature walks through local landscapes and land-based skill shares focused on individual and community resilience. From the experienced naturalist to the simply nature curious, from youngster to elder all are welcome.
About the Organizers:
Ryan Busby is an amateur naturalist and professional educator in the area of nature connection. A selfish curiosity about human health and wellbeing lead Ryan to leave a career in finance to pursue ancestral skills such as farming, foraging, survival skills, herbalism, bushcraft, ecology, and permaculture. This journey changed the way he viewed himself and the world. He is now on a mission to help shift the way we modern humans interact with the lands we inhabit. He seeks to help others move from either an extractive or a hands-off relationship towards a reciprocal relationship where humans can be a force for co-creating more abundance with the land. Ryan leads walks, teaches workshops, and is developing "Shake the Tree Farm" a regenerative farm in Alfred, ME. Follow Shake the Tree Farm on instagram: https://www.instagram.com/shakethetreefarm/
