Irish Festival Seattle

Come celebrate St. Patrick's Day at the Irish Festival! The festival is a free, two-day event on Saturday, March 14 from Noon - 6:00 pm and Sunday, March 15 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.

I'm planning to go on Saturday from 3:00 - 5:00 and may stay until 6:00. Please RSVP, feel free to arrive earlier or stay later, and text Cliff at 415-525-2892 if you have any questions about the event or need help finding us.

• "Irish Festival Seattle is held in March, on or near St. Patrick’s Day, celebrating Irish heritage, culture, and arts with two-days of traditional music, step-dancing, lectures, genealogy workshops, Irish films, exhibits, displays, and more."
• "From the early days of non-native settlers arriving in the Puget Sound area, the Irish were among them, many of them having escaped the Great Irish Famine of 1845-1852. The Chocktaw Nation, empathetic to Irish people starving, sent donations to Ireland for famine relief."
• "In the 1890s, the Klondike Gold Rush brought thousands of Irish people through Seattle on their way to the goldfields. When the Yukon gold petered out, thousands of Irish ended up settling in Seattle."
