See all- Expert Speaker Series — How to Score a FilmHarbor Island Studios, Seattle, WA
We are thrilled to announce our next Expert Speaker Series installment, this time for anyone interested in composing for film or television (and hosted at the magnificent Harbor Island Studios!
Owen Andruchow is a composer of interactive and linear music for film and video games. Having earned his masters degree in film composing from the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program, he has since had the pleasure of collaborating with multiple creative institutions based in the Seattle area and abroad. This includes Rising Reels Productions, Superframe Media, Rockfire Games, Channel A TV, and many solo indie film makers and game developers. Most recently, he’s been scoring a Lifetime thriller alongside a team of composers based in Los Angeles. Above all, Owen is fascinated with the process of storytelling, which he believes is the through line that ties all creative endeavors together. He loves meeting fellow creatives, and the experience of bringing stories to life with music!
Over the years, Owen has undergone instruction from several well renowned film composers, including Kenneth Lampl (Pokémon: The First Movie), Paul Chihara (Death Race 2000), Douglas Cuomo (Sex and the City) and Hummie Man (Robinhood Men In Tights). As a result, he has accumulated a fair bit of wisdom on the craft of scoring films, which he is excited to share in this installment of SCA’s Expert Speaker Series.
