Celebrate Lunar New Year with Seattle Outdoor Adventurers on a classic Pacific Northwest hike to Rattlesnake Ledge. This is a well maintained, popular trail with steady elevation gain, forest scenery, and a wide open overlook above Rattlesnake Lake. The hike is suitable for families and hikers with basic trail experience, and we will keep a relaxed, inclusive pace.
Meeting and Transportation
Eastgate Park and Ride (under the overpass, east side), Bellevue

Carpool:
We will coordinate carpools from the Park and Ride to the trailhead.
Hike Overview

• Distance: about 4 miles round trip
• Elevation Gain: about 1,160 feet
• Difficulty: Moderate
• Trail Condition: Well maintained with steady uphill switchbacks
• View: Rattlesnake Lake and surrounding Cascade foothills
Kids are welcome with parent supervision. Please be realistic about your child’s hiking ability and endurance.

After the hike, for those who are interested, we will gather to celebrate Lunar New Year together at:

This is completely optional and not required to attend the hike. Feel free to join if you would like to continue socializing, warm up, and celebrate the holiday together with the group.
