Photo Friends - Picnic & Social at Gasworks Park

OVERVIEW:
Join us for a laid-back summer gathering of photographers, friends, and families!

We’ll set up a picnic base on the hill near the parking lot, not Kite Hill, but with a perfect view of it—and enjoy a casual day of connection, conversation, and creativity.

Bring your own food, drinks, and favorite camera (or three!).

This is all about relaxing, seeing old friends, making new friends, sharing photo stories, and wandering the park for spontaneous image making.

Kids and partners welcome!

Bonus fun: Bring a small print to gift or trade with someone new, it’s a great way to share your work and spark conversation.

Let’s hang, shoot, and celebrate community under the summer sky.

WHERE TO MEET:
Gasworks Park, near the parking lot
There’s a hilly area when you cross into the park from the parking lot. Look for us to gather there has a “home base”.

If you come in the main entrance, from the lot, near the restrooms, we will be setup to the right of that area.

Selecting this area as it is general a bit more open.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Snacks and drinks (no alcohol please), if you want to bring things to share that's great too!
• Blanket/umbrella
• Cameras! Film or Digital to capture the moments and memories
• Print to share or give to someone else at the event

RECOMMENDED GEAR
Whatever film or digital camera you would like to bring. Something with a wide angle lens could be good to capture the large structure and views of the water and skyline.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL
Open to all levels of photographer.

Kate is a freelance photographer based in Seattle.
Kate specialises in portrait photography, but also holds a deep love of a variety of genres including travel, street, landscape, and astrophotography.
