🕹️ SecTalks :: Hackers & Defenders of the "Cyber" Security Arena

Topic of the month: Hardware hacking (and security)! We’ll use a hardware device as example (sorry my dear Thermostat), and deep dive in all facets; the process of how (everyday) devices can be probed, analyzed, and exploited / secured. From getting access, to identifying components, extracting data / firmware etc. and finding ways to exploit! And of course ways to secure… We’ll start with a general hardware security overview, and then go into more details - so less technical or non-hardware focused community members joining, can find value in this! And as always, it’s an open, conversational presentation - so bring your curiosity, insights and of course questions!

Cooler, a bit sexier names for same content: smart device hacking, IoT security, embedded systems hacking etc.

Note: Date adjustment to the usual last Thursday of the month (30/10). Meetup automatically selects the 4th Thursday (23/10) which was not correct.

Let's meet for an informative session where you can ask security experts any questions you have in your mind no mater how basic or advanced that is. Every month we try to have a different topic, and there's always time to discuss anything important to you as well!

SecTalks takes place at the CIC innovation community - and part of the Venture Cafe Rotterdam gathering which is now (temporarily?) on halt.

Doors for SecTalks open at 17:30 we have drinks (and some snacks). SecTalks session starts at 18:30. If you are there earlier, drop a line so we can connect and socialize more.
